With an open-bidding process, we find and review multiple contractors for each area of the construction process and then present the choices to our clients, who can then make his or her own choice. We may recommend particular contractors, but our clients see the bids and therefore experience more transparency during the building process.
At Element Homes, during the sales process with the home buyer, we put on paper everything we're paying. We show our clients what we're paying every subcontractor, we show what we will pay for material, and we show overhead and profit. Our clients then become part of the planning team, alongside us, and therefore eliminating some of the stress in the process.
Benefits of open bidding include not only the increased transparency of the project and costs, but also increased flexibility for homeowners to customize their houses. With the open-bidding process, we can work with our suppliers and work with their in-house designers to get access to some fun, custom materials, rather than just stock, builder showroom material.
